I am committed to good governance, a board that leads with strong, clear policies and procedures. I support updating our constitution to reflect and protect our vision and mission today while staying true to our moral compass.
Recognising the rich history and the evolving future of our community, I aim to connect different generations. By honouring our past and innovating for our future, we can create a cohesive and dynamic community where every generation feels valued.
Decision-making should be a collaborative process. I aim to engage further with our community through regular, structured consultations, making sure that our strategies and actions resonate with the needs and aspirations of those we serve.
I envisage to continue the work of a board that truly reflects the diverse tapestry of our community. This means advocating for and elevating voices from all genders and corners of the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, ensuring that every member feels seen and heard.
Uplifting and supporting First Nations LGBTIQ individuals. Recognising their unique challenges and rich cultural heritage, I will work towards creating inclusive spaces and opportunities, celebrating their contributions to our community and beyond.
The team has been working on an annual calendar that extends beyond the Festival. I advocate for expanding those programs and initiatives even more throughout the year, fostering ongoing engagement, support, and celebration of our community.
I commit to continue integrating trauma-informed practices that recognise the unique challenges faced by our community. By creating safer spaces that acknowledge and respect these experiences, we'll foster a more supportive and resilient environment for all.
Aligning with the Ethical Charter of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, I am committed to the sustainability of our organisation. This includes responsible practices and ethical decision-making including sponsorship agreements that ensure the longevity and integrity of our Mardi Gras.
